Hi John. You ask hard questions! As I mentioned, this pictograph is on Grand Lake in Algonquin Park. However, I don't want to get more specific than that; indeed, I was uncertain whether I should even say that much. I don't know of any description or discussion of this pictograph. In particular, I do not know its age or what culture it is associated with. However, within the Petawawa River drainage, many sites of First Nations' occupation have been located. These show evidence of Archaic, Middle Woodland, Pickering, Iroquoian and Algonkian cultures. A couple of years back, one of the more popular campsites on Grand Lake was closed so as to protect its archaeological / First Nations heritage and it is my understanding that artifacts have been found there. But I don't know any further details. One might surmise that that site is associated with this pictograph, but that is pure speculation on my part. I guess what it amounts to is that I know of the pictograph and where it is located, but little else about it. I have read suggestions that there is more than one pictograph, but this is all I have been able to find. And even if you know where it is, it is still hard to find.

These always intrigue me. Could you add a bit of background?
